Team BlackRock’s Annual Safety Meeting: A Culture of Safety

On May 3rd, Team BlackRock gathered for our annual safety meeting, proudly showcasing the strides our team has made in embracing a culture of safety. This important construction safety event reaffirmed our commitment to prioritizing the well-being of motorists and colleagues alike on the job site. At BlackRock Asphalt and BlackRock Milling, safety isn’t just a priority; it’s our guiding principle and an intentionally crafted culture shaping every aspect of our work.

During the meeting, we highlighted our comprehensive safety curriculum and the essential role of our dedicated safety coordinators. Our curriculum includes exhaustive workplace safety, best practices, and ongoing education information built to ensure that every team member is equipped with the knowledge and skills to maintain a safe working environment. Our safety coordinators play a pivotal role in overseeing these programs, conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to review our safety performance over the past year, celebrate our achievements, and discuss areas for improvement. We shared success stories and best practices and reinforced the importance of vigilance and adherence to safety protocols in a fun and engaging way. The collaborative atmosphere underscored the collective responsibility we all share in fostering a safe workplace.

A special thank you to everyone who participated in this event and contributed to its success. Your dedication and commitment to safety are what make BlackRock a leader in the industry. Together, we are building a safer, stronger future for all Floridians.
